Job detailsJob TypeFull-timeFull Job Description This position that works on assignment with clear instruction and supervision from leaders to leverage designated tools and processes in available in defense of applications, systems, data, and networks. This position may also be assigned to work with Information Technology (IT) portfolios, or other internal departments and organizations, to assist in the review, documentation, and/or implementation of controls, practices, or technology solutions to meet the defined policies and standards for risk and compliance. This individual works with divine guidance to provide or support technology that furthers the mission of the Church and reflects the eternal impact of the gospel.
As directed, assist in establishing and carrying out compliance plans, schedules, and activities Assist in the work with compliance customers to determine and obtain data points necessary to validate ongoing compliance with both internal Church and external regulatory requirements As directed, assist in carrying out compliance validation processes Assists with validating prospective issues with compliance customers, providing technical and procedural guidance regarding remediation of these issues, and tracking progress of remediation activities until closed Assists with reporting compliance results to compliance customers and other key stakeholders As directed, assist in identifying, clarifying, and escalating concerns to compliance customers and other key stakeholders where appropriate As directed assist to facilitate the implementation of risk and compliance programs with periodic guidance from manager and Sr. Analysts Assist to the creation of IT risk plans that correlate back to Church policies, standards, and controls As directed, assists in the facilitation of IT risk analyses and the creation of risk management processes Assists in the investigation and analysis of technology audit recommendations Helps monitoring and reporting on audit remediation efforts as directed by manager or Sr. Analysts As directed, assists in the ongoing maturation of the Information Security (IS) Compliance program

Associate degree or equivalent work experience in security, privacy, compliance or related area(s)

Work Experience:

Prefer previous experience in security risk and/or compliance assessment One or more broad-based Information Security certification like Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) a plus

Demonstrated Skills & Abilities:

Professional written and oral communication skills Detail-oriented with the proven ability to follow instructions Ability to successfully work in a team Basic knowledge of IT organization patterns Proficiency with MS Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint particularly with data analytical features Basic understanding of project management and budgeting practices

Desired Skills & Abilities: Basic knowledge of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platforms like Archer, Metric Stream, or ServiceNow GRC a plus
