Job Summary The Chief Privacy Officer at Quicken Loans is responsible for establishing, advocating and educating Quicken Loans’ leadership and its team member on what privacy means. A Chief Privacy Officer will help develop a standard which we adhere to, write implementable policies and procedures and create audit and risk models. This person has a unique view point on what the term privacy means and can foster this privacy first mindset within the bounds our culture and ethics. Responsibilities Build an enterprise-wide privacy program that views privacy as part of our brand, part of what’s amazing about our service. Create uniform privacy policies, principles, practices, and understanding across the enterprise Work with the legal and technology teams to ensure both existing and new services comply with privacy and data security obligations Develop appropriate remedial steps for failure to comply with our privacy policies and procedures Conduct privacy impact assessments as needed Develop and apply corrective action procedures Represent Privacy Program in privacy-related incident responses Represent Quicken Loans as a privacy expert Work with the government relations team to advocate for our interests with lawmakers Report on a periodic basis regarding the status of the privacy program to our Audit and Risk Team, General Counsel, CEO and other senior leaders Work with Public Relations to respond to press and other inquiries about consumer and team member data Work with technology teams and senior leaders to ensure awareness of “best practices” on privacy and data security issues Build and lead a privacy community, a virtual team that ensures alignment and communication about key privacy issues Conduct meetings and events to encourage sharing of privacy knowledge and best practices in our privacy community Technology and Resource Knowledge Microsoft Office Suite Expert Knowledge of Privacy Law and Policy Project Management Methodologies Requirements 5+ years of experience in a related role 5+ years of experience in management and administration Bachelor’s Degree in a related field Master’s/Graduate Degree in a related field Preferred: HR / PMP Certifications The Company is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer, and does not discriminate in any hiring or employment practices.
