"Businesses will change and in response to businesses, threats will change. If I take each of the clusters - start from networks to the communication layer to the endpoint - for every part, if I know the key indicators and monitor, then I have a hold over it," Ray says.

In a video interview with Information Security Media Group, as part of the CyberEdBoard's ongoing Profiles in Leadership series, Ray also discusses:

  • Her top three accomplishments in the field of cybersecurity;
  • Skills she looks for when building a team;
  • Her various roles in the field of cybersecurity.

Ray's specialization areas are cybersecurity and GRC. Until recently, she was chief compliance officer at GeBBS Healthcare Solutions. She has co-authored the 7th edition of the Global Technology Audit Guide on Information Technology Outsourcing, issued by the Institute of Internal Auditors, Florida.
