VP, Digital Product Risk and Compliance - People's United Bank - Bridgeport, CT

The VP, Digital Product Risk and Compliance role is responsible for driving assurance activities to ensure that our digital product suite and related policies, procedures and processes do not violate applicable law / regulations and mitigate operational risk.

This position will identify emerging risks to ensure that proper controls and processes have been established across all digital services and teams.

Coordinates and engages internal resources and third parties/vendors to resolve complex issues. Provides feedback to project requirements to ensure scope is comprehensive and that work is aligned with the short-term and long-term strategic plans of the organization.

Provides direction to staff and product owners on compliance and risk related procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with applicable regulatory standards, requirements, and policies. Maintains oversight of assurance area activities including but not limited to operational and enterprise risk, audit, BSA and compliance. Acts in a liaison capacity between the assurance functions and digital product management function to ensure that work efforts are reasonable and provide value. Manages multiple complex priorities or issues effectively and engages Senior and Executive Management as necessary.

The incumbent will develop and adapt department frameworks for evidence-based decision making and procedural oversight. The incumbent will acts as primary liaison with Risk partners to manage internal audits, compliance review and risk assessments.

These efforts include participating in new product development and serve as an advocate for risk related issues and infusion of risk mitigation controls that benefit the business and its customers.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
Providing credible risk focused feedback to the design, development, delivery and maintenance of digital programs, practices and functionality of the digital product suite.Supporting the Digital Product team in participating in compliance reviews of new products, new services and the digitization of existing customer engagement functionality.Follow / respond to industry changes that may impact policies and procedures relating to digital risk and governance. Collaborating with other internal areas including Legal, Compliance, Audit, Marketing, IT, Operations other Control Functions to address issues which may impact the supported functional business product.Assisting with regulatory inquiries and/or examinations. Researching any new reform rules and rule changes and the response the banking industry is taking in order to recommend next steps in regards to PUB digital processes and products.Ensure SOX controls and verifications are conducted and implemented as required.
Adheres to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with any and all applicable regulatory standards, requirements, and policies. Job Requirements Experience/Education Requirements:
