Job detailsSalary$54,000 - $85,000 a yearJob TypeFull-timeBenefitsPulled from the full job descriptionDisability insuranceHealth insuranceLife insuranceRetirement planFull Job Description Vendor Management Specialist Anticipated Starting Salary Range: $54,000 – $85,000 Starting Salary Commensurate with Qualifications and Experience The State Corporation Commission (SCC) seeks a reliable and detail-oriented professional to fill a new role within the Solutions Management section of its Clerk’s Office. The Clerk’s Office maintains Business entity, Uniform Commercial Code and SCC case documents and has over 15 contracts with various vendors. The Vendor Management Specialist will coordinate supplier management on behalf of the Clerk’s Office, to include keeping management abreast of key vendor performance metrics and leading vendor oversight teams. This position is responsible for managing all Clerk’s Office contract performance oversight, compliance with contractual obligations, and audits to ensure vendors are meeting contractual obligations and business needs are met while keeping leadership well informed. The Vendor Management Specialist will be responsible for facilitating the gathering of business requirements from subject matter experts within the Clerk’s Office. This position will collaborate directly with the SCC’s procurement office to provide the business requirements and other information for the preparation of Request for Proposals (RFP), Invitation for Bid (IFB), and other procurement documents. This position, in collaboration and coordination with the Information Technology Division and the Office of Information Security, is responsible for the creation and ownership of the Clerk’s Office technology roadmap, which captures and monitors current Clerk’s Office technology and vendors and plans for future needs. This position offers a hybrid work schedule (generally 3 days of telework and 2 days in office per week) as well as opportunities to attend job-related training and to obtain related certifications and designations.
Minimum Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications Preferred qualifications for this position include relevant professional experience in vendor and contracts management, business analysis, and a bachelor’s degree. Some experience reviewing RFPs, IFBs, and contracts is essential. The ability to identify critical deliverables, success metrics, and the associated penalties for performance failures is critical. Candidates for this position must have strong computer skills and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite. Ideal candidates for the Vendor Management Specialist position will utilize cross division resources, ask questions, and apply prior experience when compiling business requirements and drafting technology roadmaps. Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with SCC staff, industry personnel, and external customers are essential. Candidates for this position will be analytical thinkers; able to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously; have strong problem-solving skills; and will be able to work well independently and as a member of a team. Any experience in procurement and/or knowledge of the functions performed in the Clerk’s Office is considered a plus.
