Job Summary Responsible for maintaining our vendor risk management program to assess, identify, supervise, and report on risks, gaps or issues related to third party vendors and other service providers. Partner with divisional and business unit management to ensure vendor risk assessments are completed as required and due diligence and ongoing monitoring requirements are fulfilled. Drives vendor risk-related projects that include program enhancements, vendor data base maintenance, system changes and process improvements. Responsible for the vendor inventory database to ensure accuracy and completeness. Job Description To be effective, an individual must be able to perform each job duty successfully. Manage the vendor risk management program for the credit union Develop enhancement strategies for the vendor management program Ensure enterprise-wide needs for due-diligence, risk assessment, and continuing vendor monitoring are accomplished Partner across the enterprise to identify 3rd party vendor risks for new and existing vendors Align and partner with ERM to document and address vendor risks Collaborate with IT areas to assure vendor partners are effectively managed and leveraged Support business units in their vendor management needs as well as corresponding with vendors, identifying issues and respond to stakeholder concerns Partner with business unit leader and contract review to address service level gaps Identify and implement process improvements for the vendor/contract management program/processes Assist contract owners with monitoring vendors and their performance and adherence to contract requirements and service level agreements Accountable for identification and tracking of vendor issues and associated remediation plans, including reporting and escalation activities Manage the vendor contract database to ensure accuracy and validity Review vendor files for completeness and work with business units to update accordingly Research and communicate with the VP ERM and make recommendations for revisions to vendor management related programs within the credit union Perform ongoing due diligence analytics for third- and fourth-party service providers including financial reviews, compliance reviews, third party vendor management practices and policies, audit reports, and SOC reviews Provide reporting of vendor management for distribution to senior Management and the Board Utilize judgment and responsibility in fulfilling and managing team functions using the credit union policies and the hierarchy of decision making Complies with all regulations as required by law, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, FACT Act, GLBA, Regulation CC (funds availability), Regulation DD (TIS) and other regulations as required by law as it relates to his/her position. Experience 4 years of experience working in operational continuity, compliance, or other risk management function and/or vendor management function, preferably within financial services Experience working with compliance and operational continuity risks across multiple lines of business Familiarity with regulatory requirements and expectations of regulators Familiarity with the products and services offered by the credit union Education Four-year college degree in business or related field OR 2 additional years combined experience in vendor management. Education must be from an accredited institution and will be verified. Master's degree preferred Licenses, Certificates, Registrations IT or risk related certification preferred Managerial Responsibility Has no supervisory/managerial responsibilities. Computer/Office Equipment Skills Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Language Skills Demonstrated ability to clearly express ideas, methodology, results and recommendations verbally, in writing and through insightful reports and graphic illustrations Demonstrated ability to document outcomes and present information in a manner appropriate for key stakeholders and all levels of the organization.
