Blackboard’s IT Security Program leads the engineering and operation of technology to monitor and enhance the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all corporate information systems and products. As IT Security Engineering Senior Director, you will provide senior leadership over a group of individuals in researching, developing, and operating IT security systems. You will also lead the evaluation, design, and implementation of secure configurations as needed in non-security information systems and products. You will act as a skilled technical leader and work to see your vision of information security realized across a complicated product and corporate landscape.
You will ensure technical controls for products and corporate systems are aligned with industry best practices. You will also be responsible for generating roadmaps for multi-year program goals as well as team projects and workstream support activities. Leading the security engineering and operations function, you'll lead a team of skilled engineers and report directly to the Chief Information Security Officer.
The Candidate: Required skills: Experience leading IT Security programs, researching, developing, and deploying information security systems Experience leading IT Security programs, consulting with internal teams on the technical implementation and support of information security controls Experience engineering cloud-based information security systems Passion for product and infrastructure security Extensive experience with any combinations of the following: standards compliance, penetration testing, automation, threat modeling, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, system and network security Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field Successful track record of ownership and delivery of security programs and roadmaps Experience leading compliance initiatives that require detailed control documentation Understanding of how to leverage our security investments to bolster our brand Expert knowledge of security testing tools and methodologies Track record of successfully meeting federal regulations for audits, which could include leading product audits, client driven audits, Federal or DoD ATOs and Infrastructure audits Minimum of 5 years’ leadership experience, including management of direct reports Strong presentation skills with comfort presenting to an executive audience
