We are seeking a motivated, high-energy individual to join our Legal and Regulatory department as a Senior Regulatory and Risk Management Specialist. As the Senior Regulatory and Risk Management Specialist, you will work with departments across the business, to proactively identify and assess risks and controls, evaluate, review, and report significant control events, interface with internal and external audit examiners, and advise on corrective action plans. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Administer programs to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations; and communicate to all employees any changes in regulations affecting their conduct on the job Conduct periodic compliance reviews/risk assessments in accordance with the established policies and procedures Interpret federal regulations and develop and maintain the Company’s policies and procedures Serve as resource to Company personnel regarding regulatory questions and daily operations Provide weekly updates to management on each project and key responsibilities Provide training program for all employees on BSA/AML, GLB or other core compliance policies and procedures Implement special projects as determined by management Perform risk assessment of new products, clients, or services Perform such other responsibilities as are assigned from time to time Serve as a point of contact for legal inquires Serve as a point of contact for government agencies Manage and respond to internal and external audits EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 5+ years of experience in financial services to include compliance, legal audit/assessment Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; JD preferred Audit experience and familiarity with internal control environments Advanced abilities writing procedural documents Strong awareness of control and risk related strategies Familiarity with risk and control framework Payments or financial services experience Previous management experience a plus Excellent listening, negotiation and communications skills Impeccable attention to detail required Demonstrated ability to understand and multi-task complex business issues Highly organized and responsible with a results oriented mind set Proven self-starter, self-motivated, and can work with minimal direction Ability to work within and across diverse teams to develop strong relationships with subordinates, peers, and senior managers to accomplish goals in a timely manner Disposition for process improvement Strong analytical skills WHAT WE OFFER A collaborative environment where success is the ultimate result Challenging and diverse tasks with opportunity for introducing your own ideas and experience Competitive compensation package Long-term career growth within a successful international company – both domestically and internationally A modern workplace with additional company benefits such as incentives and staff events
