We are seeking a motivated, high-energy individual to join our Legal and Regulatory department as a Senior Regulatory and Risk Management Specialist. As the Senior Regulatory and Risk Management Specialist, you will work with departments across the business, to proactively identify and assess risks and controls, evaluate, review, and report significant control events, interface with internal and external audit examiners, and advise on corrective action plans.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAdminister programs to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations; and communicate to all employees any changes in regulations affecting their conduct on the jobConduct periodic compliance reviews/risk assessments in accordance with the established policies and proceduresInterpret federal regulations and develop and maintain the Company’s policies and proceduresServe as resource to Company personnel regarding regulatory questions and daily operationsProvide weekly updates to management on each project and key responsibilitiesProvide training program for all employees on BSA/AML, GLB or other core compliance policies and proceduresImplement special projects as determined by managementPerform risk assessment of new products, clients, or servicesPerform such other responsibilities as are assigned from time to timeServe as a point of contact for legal inquiresServe as a point of contact for government agenciesManage and respond to internal and external auditsEDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS5+ years of experience in financial services to include compliance, legal audit/assessmentBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; JD preferredAudit experience and familiarity with internal control environmentsAdvanced abilities writing procedural documentsStrong awareness of control and risk related strategiesFamiliarity with risk and control frameworkPayments or financial services experiencePrevious management experience a plusExcellent listening, negotiation and communications skillsImpeccable attention to detail requiredDemonstrated ability to understand and multi-task complex business issuesHighly organized and responsible with a results oriented mind setProven self-starter, self-motivated, and can work with minimal directionAbility to work within and across diverse teams to develop strong relationships with subordinates, peers, and senior managers to accomplish goals in a timely mannerDisposition for process improvementStrong analytical skillsWHAT WE OFFERA collaborative environment where success is the ultimate resultChallenging and diverse tasks with opportunity for introducing your own ideas and experienceCompetitive compensation packageLong-term career growth within a successful international company – both domestically and internationallyA modern workplace with additional company benefits such as incentives and staff eventsJob Type: Full-timeExperience:financial services: 5 years (Preferred)Education:Doctorate (Preferred)Work authorization:United States (Required)
