Under the supervision of the Director of Product Development, the Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will work within a cross-functional team environment to define and implement testing procedures for firmware, hardware, and software products. This position will be responsible for setting quality assurance metrics, testing standards, automate testing, debugging firmware, performing root-cause analyses, and defining corrective actions. Right candidate will be a self- starter with a technical engineering background, capable of working in a team environment and will be motivated to take on new challenges. Duties & Responsibilities:

· Product Testing- Design, develop and execute automation scripts for testing firmware, hardware, and software products- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured testing procedures and documentations- Execute, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities with internal teams and external vendors- Identify, record, document firmware bugs through JIRA or similar platform- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved · Engineering Test Lab- Research and coordinate equipment & supplies required for the testing lab(s)- Facilitate equipment selection for automation testing and lab security- Support overseas/offsite teams in product testing activities · Product Development- Support new product development activities from prototyping through production launch- Encourage new development, innovative concepts and methods for advance testing procedure- Plan, schedule, and control projects from Quality Assurance (QA) standpoint to meet established objectives for quality, reliability, and performance · Project Management- Demonstrate technical expertise in project management including scheduling, tracking, team assignments, status reports, and effective problem solving to stay ahead of the project timelines · Other Duties as Assigned
Minimum Qualifications:· Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s in engineering, preferred emphasis in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical or similar disciplines (or equivalent / relevant work experience)· Minimum of Five (5) years of experience in firmware and hardware testing· Minimum of Five (5) years of experience in launch products and new product development including demonstrated ability to develop and implement testing procedure for the new product· Minimum of Three (3) years of experience working in a collaborative team environment and with external vendors· Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting· Knowledge of coding languages C, C++, Python, HTML, CSS, XML, Java, or equivalent is must· Knowledge and experience in MATLAB, oscilloscopes, Arduino, Raspberry Pi is a plus· Experience working of operating systems Windows, iOS and Ubuntu· Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes· Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases· Experience with Test Rail or equivalent test workbenches and Microsoft Office· Exposure to product design reviews, verification testing, supplier/vendor development, and customer support· Possess a strong understanding of technical methods, principles and systems for testing· Demonstrated ability to make good decisions even in scenarios with limited information· Strong oral, written and listening communication skills.· Combined ability to work independently and interact with people at all levels of responsibility· Team player and motivator· Prior experience in the electric vehicle industry, consumer electronics, automotive or energy industry is a plus· Project management certifications is a plus· Ability to be self-motivated and exhibit a high degree of professionalism· Ability and willingness to travel (if required)· Authorized to work in the United States
