The ideal candidate will be responsible for OVERALL JOB DESCRIPTION: Design and develop solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns. Perform systems management and integration functions. Designs, develops, evaluates and modifies networks as well as end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products. Research, design, develop, or test computer or computer-related equipment for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use. May supervise the manufacturing and installation of computer or computer-related equipment and components. JOB FAMILY DESCRIPTION: Gathers information concerning the capabilities of Company products; investigates the technical capabilities of Company products and competing equipment and/or solutions; stays abreast of developments in hardware and software. Generates quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and ensures requirements comply through formal verification methods. Translates high level product development strategies into network and system requirement specifications and works with other engineering disciplines to develop lower level detailed implementation requirements. Establishes and coordinates development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the overall network and system development. Designs interfaces and brings network and system elements together so they work as a whole. Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures. Customer liaison and support for business development activities and to understand and shape requirements. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinates the planning, design, and installation of equipment, using knowledge of engineering and programming as well as sophisticated instruments and computers Participates in system conceptual design and documentation of the design concepts. Installs all new hardware, systems, and software for networks. Designs, creates, and builds network services, equipment and devices. Generates system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures. Monitors system performance and implements performance tuning. Reviews test plans/procedures and ensures they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participates in the testing process to validate requirements. COMPETENCY: Specialist/Lead/Supervisor KNOWLEDGE: Extensive knowledge in specialized functions. A wide and comprehensive understanding of, both general and specific aspects of the job and its application. PROBLEM SOLVING: Develops technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. SUPERVISION: Work is performed without discernible direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment. May supervise others. IMPACT: Effects of decisions are long-lasting and heavily influence the future course of the Company. Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results would result in the expenditure of large amounts of resources. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's in computer systems analysis, computer science, computer information systems (CIS), management information systems (MIS), business intelligence or a similar field of study (or commensurate experience). 8+ years experience PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Sits up to 6 hours per day using close vision, repetitive wrist, hand or finger movement (to operate computer equipment), lifts up to 25 pounds.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's in computer systems analysis, computer science, computer information systems (CIS), management information systems (MIS), business intelligence or a similar field of study (or commensurate experience). 8+ years experience Analyzes business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems. Interfaces between systems architects/programmers and users located in a specialized area to ensure that information technology designs meet the needs of the end users within an organization. Documents product/service requirements and develops test procedures to ensure user requests are carried out. Interacts with testing requirements to ensure traceability and test coverage. Requires general-logic knowledge of system capabilities without necessarily the ability to program.
