The Information Security Associate will be responsible for supporting New York Life’s Agent Cybersecurity Program. This individual will work closely with business partners, technology, and operational risk teams to identify and assess risks and controls and drive remediation efforts. Please note this is a backfill role.
Major responsibilities include: Assist in developing and driving of the Agent Cybersecurity Program Lead implementations on new functions, processes, and controls for SumoLogic (reporting tool for Agent Cybersecurity) Develop and help manage metrics and reporting for Agent Cybersecurity Effectively analyze security logs to determine non-compliance for remediation Aid in the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks and issues for Agent Cybersecurity Effectively communicate with business partners and stakeholders at all levels Optimize existing processes
Qualifications: Accomplished professional with 5+ years of experience in risk, control, audit or compliance Excellent communications, leadership, and presentation skills • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint Ability to develop effective relationships across the firm, at all levels Bachelor’s degree required Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills Able to work both independently and as part of a broader team Knowledge of ISO, COBIT, NIST and other relevant industry frameworks and standards Knowledge of Sumo Logic coding Understanding of insurance and agency model a plus CRISC and CISM certifications a plus #LI-MD1 EOE M/F/D/V
