Security System Analyst/Administrator - Weris - Sterling, VA

Weris, Inc., an Inc. 5000 awarded consulting and government-contracting firm, is looking to hire an IT Security Analyst to join our growing company. This opportunity will primarily fulfill responsibilities under a Federal contract supporting a grant-review process, as well as providing IT corporate support. Weris’s team is diverse and dynamic, and we are looking for candidates who are driven, flexible, and hardworking to best support the team and our customers. Successful candidates will have system development life cycle knowledge, system administration experience, knowledge of cyber security, and experience with cloud services such as Microsoft Office 365. Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following: Serve as a system analyst to configure, support, and manage contracts through Box.com, a cloud-based system in an AWS environment. Perform system functions such as document upload and sharing, payment processing, and risk analysis. Interpret and present information on security frameworks, regulatory documents, and applicable laws. Collect, identify, organize, and define detailed user and IT system requirements. Establish and manage the ability of Weris to work with vendors in a secure environment. Work closely with government customers’ IT and Security teams and bank/vendor IT team to build and maintain relationships across functions and organizational levels. Build and track key indicators to measure system performance. Follow protocol for reporting and resolving outages and system issues. Act as main point of contact for all hardware and software requests, managing accounts and licenses, troubleshooting, and fielding employee IT questions. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related degree. 3-5 years of work experience as an IT security analyst. Experience in installing security software and documenting security risks. Proficient with software development and documentation. Solid knowledge of business information systems, networking, and security concepts. Ability to review and write about complex technical concepts such as security policies, standards, and operating procedures. Basic knowledge in working with the ATO security process. Excellent analytical skills. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize efficiently. Attention to detail, prompt follow-up, and high-level of customer service. Knowledge of government IT security protocol. U.S. Citizenship is required.
