Our Trust and Safety team is responsible for protecting Google's users by fighting web abuse and fraud across Google products to ensure online safety. Malvertising (a portmanteau of "malicious advertising") is the use of online advertising to spread malware. Malvertising involves injecting malicious or malware-laden advertisements into legitimate online advertising networks and webpages. In this role, your will analyzes the intent of bad actors on Google ads systems, probe and uncover attack mechanisms to spread malware and take corrective action, developing defensible systems while building automation to catch bad actors at scale. Responsibilities
Analyze data/signals to identify threats. Use identified signatures to detect and prevent malware. Lead threat intelligence and incident response. Contribute to increasing our ability to triage, respond and understand advanced threat actors and the tools they use. Document incidents and threats and identify procedures to avoid them. Keep up-to-date on the latest malware threats and advise and consult with other teams as a subject matter expert. Train personnel and other team members on best practices. Location
