Entity and activity description
Air Liquide Large Industries provides our customers with industrial gas and energy solutions that are vital to their own industrial production. We own and operate over 2,000 miles of industrial gas pipelines in the U.S. supplying mainly oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and syngas in large quantities from multiple production sources to major customers in the chemicals, petrochemicals, refining and steel industries. Our pipeline operations and industrial gas production facilities are closely monitored 24/7 within our leading-edge operations control center located in Houston, Texas. Our operations control group monitors over 89,000 data points and assists with product supply and coordination. We are constantly optimizing our supply network to provide high reliability and energy efficiencies allowing Air Liquide to adjust supply needs more quickly and effectively enabling growth to our customers. Job Responsibilities
Implements/leads a risk management system that conforms w/AL Group policies adapted to needs of Large Industries, in areas of occupational health/safety, environmental, reliability,/process risks Assists entity Risk Department Director/Senior Risk Management Representative in execution of ALLIUS Operational Risk Management duties Understanding of function/its value-added among managers within entity, creating a climate conducive to successful implementation Analyzes, adapts/implements within Large Industries Industrial/Risk Management documents issued by Group: Group Procedures, Emergency, Technical Standards, Design, Information Notes Coordinates Risk Management Activity w/National Operations department activities Leads or participates in investigation of causes/approval of recommendations Identifies/implements tools, methods/indicators to support/measure compliance w/policies/progress against objectives of risk management system Maintains records; develops indicators of conformity to Group risk management specifications Maintains a communication system to inform employees of risk management policies, objectives/results Implements a feedback process to capitalize on experiences of major/recurring incidents/to develop actions to address them Supports implementation of qualification/certification programs for employees in areas that affect industrial risks Identifies/shares best practices Assists in the Development, maintain/deliver Risk Management training for QMS Supervise/train Risk Management Specialist in risk management tools/methods Assists in Managing applicability/compliance of Group Documents for Large Industries Champions implementation plan developed by Subject Matter Expert Assists in Tracking applicability/implementation plan work completion for S-Form quarterly reporting to SIS Conducts technical audits, identifies risks, recommends to operational teams actions necessary to lessen risks/ensures implementation of those actions Participates in safety/dependability reviews of operating facilities Accountable to recommend stoppage of any work activity not in compliance w/risk management procedures or w/regulatory requirements/to recommend actions necessary to remedy situation Enforces application of risk management procedures in new business development/Investment approvals Champions PRI completion/leads PRAs for new projects/verifies that Risk Management activities have been implemented Classifies new projects into critical/standard according to SIS criteria Plans/coordinates preliminary risk assessment reviews during project approval phase Keeps records of all activities related to risk management for critical (according to SIS criteria) project Ensures communication w/SIS regarding all critical investments Helps business teams to demonstrate know-how in fields of safety/reliability Ensures that employees received adequate information/training for their role Expected to become qualified as Industrial Risk Management Representative
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred) 5+ years experience in industrial gases industry that has provided incumbent w/working knowledge of core operational/business processes as well as a background of all technologies (ASU, HYCO,Cogeneration, Pipeline Operations) Communicates well verbally/in writing at all levels, adapting message to ensure clarity/understanding Excellent problem solving skills Operations experience is beneficial Good computer skills, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel software Customer-oriented approach Ability to travel (30%); work in industrial environments (walking, moderate climbing)
