Operational Risk Management Analyst - Centennial Bank - Conway, AR

The Operational Risk Management Analyst (ORMA) is responsible for identifying, measuring, monitoring and controlling operational risk exposures throughout the Bank. The ORMA will operate within the Bank's broader Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Program to conduct their duties. These duties will include, at a minimum: working with the Enterprise Risk Officer (ERO) to develop, implement, and administer the Company's internal control framework across the enterprise, coordinate with other 2nd and 3rd line units to ensure proper testing, monitoring, and auditing of the Company's operational risk exposures, and facilitating the identification and assessment of operationally focused risks across the various lines of business. The position will also include support duties such as: conducting research and analysis, exam preparation and coordination, handling of confidential information, and communicating with Management, the Management Risk Committee (MRC), Executive Risk Committee (ERC), and the Directors Audit & Risk Committee (DA&RC).

1. Drafts and reviews policies and procedures related to the Operational Risk Management function. This duty is performed as needed, about 5% of the time.

2. The ability to read and interpret policies and procedures across the Company. This duty is performed as needed, about 5% of the time.

3. Oversees the ongoing operational Risk Control Self-Assessment process. This duty is performed monthly, about 25% of the time.

4. Takes a leading role in working with LOB to assess operational risks as part of annual risk assessment process. This duty is performed annually, about 10% of the time.

5. Monitors audit and exam findings for trends that present operational risk within Lines of Business (LOB) and across the Company. This duty is performed monthly, about 15% of the time.

6. Monitors Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and other metrics related to operational risk to identify emerging or material risk exposures. This duty is performed monthly, about 10% of the time.

7. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert to LOBs on the subject of operational risk. Monitors First Line testing of internal controls to identify operational risk exposures and ensure timely and effective corrective action is taken. This duty is performed as needed, about 10% of the time.

8. Works in conjunction with staff from front line operating units and various other LOBs such as ERM, Information Technology, Information Security, and Internal Audit to ensure that operational risk exposures are appropriately identified, measured, monitored, and controlled. This duty is performed as needed, about 15% of the time.

9. Provides regular reports to the Company's Board of Directors, any Committees thereof, and members of Management on significant or emerging operational risk exposures and the effectiveness of internal controls. This duty is performed monthly, about 5% of the time.

10. Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned. This duty is performed annually.

11. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner.

12. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 3 years related experience and/or training, and 1 to 6 months related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read, analyze, and understand common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents; Ability to respond to complex or difficult inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of known variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formats.
