SUMMARY As a Manager, IT Risk Advisory, you will be responsible for managing very diverse engagements in assisting clients with properly structured information technology (IT) audit programs to evaluate risk management practices, internal control systems, and compliance with regulations and corporate policies. Engagement types include internal audits outsourcing and co-sourcing, internal controls assurance, enterprise risk assessments, System and Organization Controls (SOC) examinations, fraud assessments, and business process optimization and transformation. This role will maintain relationships with a diverse client base in various industries and assist firm leadership in identifying new opportunities and assist in obtaining new engagements.
RESPONSIBILITIESProvide leadership and management over the audit process, including risk assessment, budgeting, planning, scheduling, executing, and reportingAid in identifying opportunities and developing strategies for entry into new markets and clientsRecruit and retain high-performance team membersLead teams in contributing a broad array of services through the use of leading-edge innovation tools and technologyIdentify and assess the risks associated with related business application processes; then evaluate the effectiveness of controls to mitigate these risksAssess internal controls, monitoring risks and emerging issues, and recommend enhancements to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures, laws, and regulationsIdentify issues, root causes and make business focused recommendations to managementProvide oversight and monitoring to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the audit team in providing high quality of work and continuous improvementDevelop rapport with client senior management through regular discussions about the business and by effectively communicating results related to audits performed, risks identified, and emerging issues QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems is requiredMinimum of five years of consulting experience performing internal audit, IT audit or risk advisory consulting services is requiredCISA, CISM, or CISSP certification is preferredAbility to develop business and foster client relationshipsStrong leadership, training and mentoring skillsExcellent writing, communication skills At Schneider Downs, we recognize that our culture is our identity.
