The Manager will serve as a strategic business partner supporting the Privacy Compliance Program for Johnson & Johnson operating companies. The position is predominantly supporting US business activities, but may participate in larger regional and global projects and activities from time to time.
Responsibilities: Establish key business relationships representing the Privacy function to the business area assigned to the Manager. Working with supervisor and Privacy Leadership: Ensure our core Privacy programs meet regulatory, legal and J&J privacy obligations. Address new and evolving external legal and regulatory requirements. Ensure privacy risks are effectively identified and addressed by applying privacy by design principles, addressing training needs and providing guidance while looking for efficiencies. Preparation for internal and external Privacy compliance audits and implementation of corrective action solutions. Participate in company’s compliance committees or similar governance as directed Interface with global/regional Privacy compliance community to share approaches to Privacy compliance and serve on teams to harmonize and optimize company approaches to privacy. Participate in the implementation of testing and monitoring programs in order to demonstrate the Privacy compliance program is effective. Identify, develop and implement new policies and procedures to enhance the Privacy compliance program with approval and input from Privacy leadership Proactively support new and evolving business models, technologies and growth strategies. Drive innovation and simplification through individual goals. Establish sound Privacy documentation and metrics to demonstrate compliance. A minimum of a BA/BS, or advanced degree is required. A minimum of eight years of business experience is required. Must be fluent in English. A minimum of 2 years Privacy compliance experience or equivalent, is required Prior roles within Healthcare industry preferred. IAPP certification is preferred. Communicative, self-starter with strong interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills are required. A proven ability to positively influence decisions and business partners. Ability to work well between different functions and across all levels of the business dealing with ambiguity and complex business situations. Ability to develop solutions that generate value through partnerships while ensuring compliance. Use business acumen, Enterprise mindset and teamwork/collaboration to assist the business to achieve its goals and objectives consistent with Privacy Principals and Policies Translate a wide variety of Privacy compliance principles and sometimes complex legal requirements into actionable solutions for the business is required. Demonstrate ability to independently exercise good judgement and decision making and inclusion of supervisor and Privacy leadership when appropriate is required.
