Job detailsJob TypeFull-timeFull Job DescriptionJob Summary: The Lead Security Engineer will lead, consult and recommend solutions on matters relating to on-premise/cloud security within the organization. Responsible for leading the technical architecture, analysis, design, product review, implementation, and support of next generation security components for on-premise/cloud (Iaas/PaaS/SaaS) systems. This role focused on automation, process and necessary tools to support service enablement and security management for growing utilization of cloud service providers (AWS and Azure), as well as maintaining existing on-premise security controls. The role requires a grasp of on-premise/cloud security principles and practices, and a background working in an architecture or engineering role. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Provides leadership to the development and implementation of security architecture, standards, procedures, and guidelines for multiple platforms in diverse system environments. Evaluates and assesses existing technical/process issues by researching and identifying innovative solutions to broad and complex information security challenges, ensuring security concerns are addressed and mitigated "Manages components of various projects to completion, consulting with various corporate teams, both within the IT and business environments to define information security solutions. Contributes to the development of strategy, risk management, productivity and quality management within the team. Monitors and evaluates effectiveness of programs and collaborates with senior management to perform continual process improvements that have a positive impact on cost, revenue, performance efficiency, process development, and solution delivery. Leads the transition to new tools and processes. Acts as a senior technical subject matter expert for applications and development, acting as a senior escalation point on technical issues and creating solutions for complex problems and providing direction for own and other teams. Participates in the development of divisional plans and communicates these and progress with team(s). Evaluates industry and technical trends and developments and contributes to the development of cloud systems and testing. Collaborates with management to identify information and cyber security risks. Assess threats, manages treatment plans, and negotiates acceptable levels of risk. "Independently serves as a trusted partner and risk advisor to key stakeholders across all lines of defense. "Acts as the ambassador and senior technical representative for Information Security while engaging with other senior technical leaders throughout organization in design and implementation of on-premise/cloud and cloud/hybrid-based implementations and solutions. Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion. Perform other related duties as required. Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum Experience: Ten years of experience working in information security, architecting, designing, implementing, and supporting information security systems and processes, driving measurable improvement in security capabilities and risk reduction for organizations. Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Knowledge of on-premise/cloud security principles and practices, and a background working in an architecture or engineering role Strong skills communicating business risk from cybersecurity issues "In-depth knowledge of network, endpoint, cloud (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS) and threat intelligence as well as the functioning of specific applications or underlying IT infrastructure Knowledge of various information security concepts and technologies such as identity management, network security, risk assessment, application security, platform security, security monitoring. "Knowledge of cloud security, firewalls, IPS, proxies, load balancers, remote access, packet capture procedures and applications, packet capture analysis, vulnerabilities, OWASP, and patching best practices. Knowledge of network intrusion techniques, vulnerabilities, exploits, advanced malware, and the corresponding detective and preventative techniques. "Familiarity with recent threats and adversarial techniques as well as the ability to quickly understand complex environments Strong business and interpersonal skills to manage risk to the business, interface with other business units and recommend solutions to the most complex business processes requiring specialized information security controls Extensive knowledge of industry standard information security practices and processes. Seen as a thought leader, innovator and change agent. Solid understanding of governance, compliance and audit regulations related to the financial services industry. (FDIC,OCC,FINRA,GLBA,SOX,PCI)
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: CISSP, CISM and/or SANS certification
