Financial Queries & Investigations Lead Analyst, VP - Citi - Tampa, FL

The Data Services Senior Lead Analyst is a role under the Finance & Risk Shared Services (FRSS) Data Services and Delivery (DSD) group driving and supporting the DSD global transformation journey, key DSD led global initiatives, and the day to day service delivery across all the verticals of the Service Delivery Function. The lead analyst will be responsible and accountable, in partnership with FRSS, Finance, Chief Data Office and Global Functions Technology Services (GFTS), to implement the Data Services Global Operating Model that will be established and stabilized across all global process and teams. The Service Delivery function in partnership with the DSD regional teams and S&E, has been driving the global transformational journey and other critical initiatives for DSD, to enable global standardization and digitization of our global servicing capability and operational process, and to implement a set of global technology platforms and digital tools driving efficiency, better controls and enhanced partner efficiency for the 35+ Finance and Risk platforms the team supports. The focus and effort for this role will be to play a critical role on developing, implementing and stabilizing all aspects of global Service Delivery function. Key responsibilities and expectations: Understand the key business deliverables required for a Project/Program and the associated dependencies on other programs to ensure all dependencies are actively managed. Ensure detailed milestone plans are available for all important deliverables, that the milestones are well understand and have a single point owner responsible for delivery. Address potential barriers to timely execution before they impact critical path delivery. Ensure proactive management of deliverables such that issues/risks are escalated promptly in order to allow for timely remediation and delivery of the project/program as scheduled. Understand key dependencies on other major programs and ensure interdependencies are clearly identified and actively managed. Ensure clear and transparent reporting of project/program status to Global Process Leads and other senior executives. Conduct analytical investigation on queries and data related to users’ requests, and connect the dots to allow timely incident resolution. Investigate, track and coordinate the resolution of financial reporting related issues, being able to explain the narrative behind the conclusions. Articulate root cause of issues and escalate to managers and seniors to avoid recurrence of failures and interact with senior levels within Finance, Chief Data Office and Technology teams to review problems and identify permanent resolution of recurring items in a post-mortem fashion Engage other centers and drive their activities to achieve established financial and productivity goals Review process flows in different dimensions of Service Delivery, including Maintenance data analysis and mapping-related issues. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency. General Project Activities: Partner with global process owners, program/project teams and functional groups (Finance, Technology, Finance/Risk Shared Services (FRSS), Global Program Management Office (GPMO)) to drive execution of requirements, training, and ensuring process compliance is in-line with Citi standards. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders including program sponsors and program leads Execute against multiple contending priorities simultaneously. Guarantee compliance with the PM standard procedures and with all applicable tools used for program and project management. Manage and escalate issues impacting the implementation of the Data Service Delivery Operating Model. Coordinate resolution with relevant partners in Finance (FIN) and Technology (GFTS) as required. Manage implementation and delivery of initiatives and projects to continuously support process improvement thru automation and standardization, expanding data consumption requirements and regulatory commitments. Support process improvement projects by understanding E2E Incident Management dataflow information and driving Partners to achieve agreed goals and stabilization of the current process / platforms Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Business Management or related field. 6+ years relevant work experience in large scale system operations for Finance / Risk related applications, data management and or data quality governance space. Strong analytical skills Competence and ability to function in a highly matrixed functional teams across various business and regions. Able to manage conflicting time demands across multiple initiatives. Able to present, communicate with senior managers and key project stakeholders (i.e., ability to articulate technical details to simple business terminology) Established and demonstrated strong leadership competence and ability to managed highly matrix functional teams across various business Ability to coordinate conflicting time demands and senior escalation Ability to support non-standard business hours including weekends and holidays as determined by Finance and management needs Team player with strategic focus and flexibility to manage and support enterprise change Ability to see and understand “the big picture” and being able to do long term strategic planning. Aptitude to translate strategy into execution in a complex and cross-functional organization. A self-starter with ability to independently manage work and drive multiple deliverables concurrently. Demonstrated capability and maturity to work in an individual capacity and must proactively seek out ways to enhance the mission and identify new data analysis needs. Able to set priorities and discuss experience in adapting to emergent or dynamic requirements. Proficiency in MS Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project). High caliber team player with good judgment, flexibility and productivity. Quick learner, customer focused with ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced changing environment. Forward looking with ability to mitigate and overcome any challenging roadblocks. Must have “can do” attitude. Ability to work well under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements in a heavily matrix organization. Self-starter and with demonstrated leadership skill.
