Job Purpose Our global manufacturing company is seeking a Procurement Compliance Manager who can analyze our business methods, as they pertain to the procurement of goods and services, and insure that our operations are in compliance with all mandated regulations as well as our voluntary programs and initiatives. The Procurement Compliance Manager will be responsible for preparing responses to official customer inquiries and correspondence with various Government departments and agencies. This person will be a champion of the company’s social responsibility initiatives to both internal and external customers, suppliers and regulatory agencies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities As it pertains to the procurement of goods and services from external suppliers:
o Collaborate with internal teams, including but not limited to Legal Counsel, Human Resources and Environmental Health and Safety, to develop and manage policies and controls intended to meet or exceed the company’s social responsibility goals and objections
o Prepare and submit reports detailing the company’s goals and achievements as they pertain to the company’s social responsibility and supplier diversity goals and objections
o Educate and advise both internal customers and external suppliers to ensure compliance to all stated goals and objectives
Assess future ventures and acquisitions to identify and help mitigate possible compliance risks and opportunitiesProactively keep apprised of global regulatory developments that may an impact on the way the company conducts business as well as evolving best practices in the area of social responsibilityCollects and formulates supply chain data, advising management of potential problem areas and making suggestions for corrective action. Qualifications Education and/or ExperienceStrong communication, negotiation, planning and analytical skillsIndividual should be highly motivated and committed to professional standards and performanceBachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Purchasing or ComplianceMinimum of 4 years working experience as a compliance professionalFamiliarity with the REACH regulation, RoHS directive, Responsible Mineral initiative and Supplier Diversity programs TRAVEL REQUIRED: Moderate travel will be required (15% or less)
