Responsible for the leadership, innovation, governance, and management necessary to identify, evaluate, mitigate, and monitor the company's enterprise risk program including operational and strategic risks. Develops Enterprise Risk Management tools, practices, and policies to analyze and report enterprise risks. Assists in the creation and evolution of the enterprise risk management framework. Oversees or monitors all operational risk management activities of the organization. This role is not responsible for our insurance programs. This position will be responsible for utilizing strong skillset to minimize the organization’s risk effects. Primary duties: Establish the Enterprise Risk Management architecture for the company Establish and ensure the organization's risk management policies and strategies are in compliance with applicable regulations, controls and strategic imperatives of the organization. Developing and maintaining a Model Risk Management program which include program design, governance structure, implementation and operation of a full Model Risk Management program Performing and/or coordinating additional modeling and analysis around Key Risks Tracking the reporting of emerging risks and events, and ensuring follow up, creation of action plans, and adjustment of policies, processes and procedures as necessary Serves as a key driver of common risk framework and tools to identify, communicate, monitor and mitigate strategic and operational risks Communicates information regarding business risks with functions across the organization as well as a be a key resource for the business units and shared services to identify and monitor merging risks, risk mitigation plans and changing risk landscape Create and maintain appropriate risk measurement tools including an annual risk inventory and periodic updates driven by strategic changes or annual surveys Supervises the risk management activities at Spire Marketing and provides support and guidance for the evolution of these activities to enable the growth of this business unit All other duties as assigned Qualifications: A combined 7-10 years’ experience in operational risk management, audit or operations management Project and program management experience 5+ years’ experience in a management role within risk management Education and experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a business-related field required MBA degree preferred Certificates, licenses, registrations: Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CIA, CFE, CISA or other relevant certification) highly preferred Work environment: Shared office environment OR Field (insert description Spire accepts online applications through our career site at jobs.spireenergy.com Posting requirements: The above posting description is intended to describe the general nature of the level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
