The Omnicell Compliance team is hiring a Director who will be responsible for executing activities related to the development, maintenance of, and evolution of the Omnicell Compliance and Risk Management initiatives to help ensure Omnicell meets compliance and ethical obligations under various laws and regulations to meet rapidly changing customer expectations and regulatory environments.
The Director, Compliance & Risk Management will serve as a business partner providing consultative services to management and stakeholders on all compliance-related issues enabling the business to achieve its goals and objectives. The position is responsible for directing, developing, administering and closely monitoring compliance strategies to strengthen risk mitigation opportunities.
Responsibilities: This description outlines the major recurring responsibilities of the position and is not intended to be all-inclusive. Your main responsibility will be to partner with company executive leadership to ensure that the Compliance and Risk Management program effectively prevents, detects and responds to violations of law, regulations, policies and industry standards in the relevant jurisdictions through:
Direct the development and implementation of written compliance policies, procedures and guidelines, in accordance with laws and regulations specific to the business, focusing on ‘mission-critical’ compliance initiatives. Develop and deliver effective training and communications content and awareness materials for related compliance topics. Facilitate and track risk mitigation activities, including risk assessment programs and other related inspections to ensure compliance standards and controls meet applicable laws and regulations. Identify compliance issues requiring follow-up; serve as the point of contact for reporting irregularities. Working with Privacy and Information Security, Integrate Privacy and Security risk management activities into the corporate risk management program. Working with cross-functional teams including IT, EHS, and site leadership, implement, manage, and routinely test enterprise business continuity and disaster recovery plans, including pandemic response plans for manufacturing and office locations globally. Manage the company hotline and conduct or direct internal investigations or fact-finding of related incidents for company, law enforcement, and other regulatory agencies. Direct case management of reported incidents through appropriate systems to ensure adequate corrective action plans are implemented and closed in adherence to standards. Investigate and document reports of suspicious activity or misconduct, violation of policy and procedures, fraudulent and unsafe activities, criminal acts, civil complaints or agency inquiries.
Required Knowledge/Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport and trust with business partners is a key to success in this position. Proven track record of driving results and building effective relationships with all levels of management. Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, including pivots, macros, and senior leadership level presentation quality. Ability to analyze issues and business use cases, document analysis, and execute plans to action. Absolute commitment to integrity and professional ethics. Ability to work under fast-paced conditions. Ability to make decisions and use good judgment. Ability to prioritize various duties and multitask as required. Superb organizational, analytical and communication skills.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree 7 years' experience in Compliance or Risk Management Experience conducting risk assessments, and working cross-functionality with business partners to mitigate risks identified. Staff leadership experience with a proven record of goal achievement and superior service.
Preferred Qualifications: Certification as a Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP) or related certification. Law degree or Master's degree in Business Ethics, Compliance, Health Care Management, or Business Five years' experience in ethics and compliance in the health industry (including medical devices and/or payors).
