Carrier Analyst-Vendor Management - Mitel - Plano, TX

Mitel is looking for an experienced Carrier Analyst- Vendor Management to join our team! This position will support the Vendor Management and Procurement objectives; enabling a consistent approach to implementing vendor management practices across the organization. These practices include the establishment of roles, governance processes and standardized score carding of key vendors. Attend monthly major carrier’s business meetings/calls to review carrier spend and trends based on product. Complete quarterly telecom vendor scorecards for Vendor Risk Management and oversee process for compliance and performs audit functions. Act as the first point of contact for all trouble and vendor escalations and work with the vendor to ensure speedy resolution. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Contract Negotiations for new and existing vendors which includes new contracts, amendments and renewals in order to drive cost reductions, streamline contract process and procedures. Execute on a day to day basis to fulfill organizational responsibilities, working with internal and external customers to ensure efficient execution of vendor management processes. Vendor Meetings and Governance conducted on a quarterly, complete telecom vendor scorecard for Vendor Risk Management and oversee process for compliance. Work with the vendor to improve any areas that are below the acceptable SLA. Create and maintain monthly management spend and trending reports for top vendors. Maintain Vendor Contact Matrix. Escalation Point within Mitel and the external vendors. Support Mitel’s NOC on any outage or RFO response when requested. Required Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience; 8 Years of related IT/Telecom experience is preferred. Degree or equivalent work experience Motivated/Self- Starter that can work independently Extensive understanding of telecommunications invoices, vendors and billing platforms. Ability to act as a primary contact to external vendors and suppliers Contract Negotiations experience within the Telecommunications or IT space. Microsoft Proficient - Excel Expert – VLOOKUP, Pivots a must, PowerPoint and Word Mitel provides equal opportunities to all applicants and employees.
