We are currently seeking a Business Continuity Business Lead to join the Enterprise Resiliency team. The desired candidate will reside in the United States. The Enterprise Resiliency mission is to protect the business by preparing for, anticipating, and responding to business operations disruption, and planning for probable risks which could cause material negative impact to Dell Technologies. We are responsible for the design, implementation and governance of the Enterprise Resiliency program which includes three domains: Business Continuity, Crisis Management, and Disaster Recovery Resiliency. The Business Continuity Business Lead will join our team as a key member of the Business Continuity (BC) group and is responsible for helping the company adequately prepare for critical business disruptions in an increasingly complex world. The position holder will build strong relationships across the company and secure organizational commitment for continued strategic and tactical support of the program. The ideal candidate will be an expert in their field, with a proven ability to build and implement best practice Business Continuity Management programs within large, global and complex enterprises. Some travel may be necessary. Key Responsibilities Serve as primary business continuity subject matter expert and point of contact for assigned business units Establish, cultivate, and maintain relationships with business continuity stakeholders and partners and be able to effectively understand and represent their interests, program status, and challenges in cross-organizational business continuity discussions, planning, and/or operations Advise business units on the implementation of resiliency strategies utilizing established methodology and formulating customized solutions to achieve BC related risk management goals Find gaps/risks, use proper escalation techniques, and make recommendations Lead a team of Business Continuity Senior Planners Present regular Business Continuity training Develop training material Successfully drives program traction Advise the business on how to achieve BC quarterly and annual deliverables Monitor, measure and report on business progress and conduct training classes for large business audiences Learn to utilize the Archer platform for managing BC Plans Evaluates effectiveness of the Business Continuity strategies and methods and makes recommendations for improvement to the BC Program Lead Collaborates with BC, Crisis Management and Disaster Recovery peers Act as a core team or extended team member on BC related projects Drive moderately complex, cross-functional projects through influence and negotiation Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience Prior experience with leading Business Continuity programs Exceptional project management and reporting skills. Strong proficiency with project management tools (i.e., Microsoft Project, Visio, PowerPoint) Professional certifications (DRII or BCI) in business continuity, disaster recovery, and/or crisis management required Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing and shifting priorities Ability to drive complex, cross-organizational initiatives through the influencing of and negotiation with stakeholders Proven ability and experience dealing with ambiguity and powering through unknowns to deliver successful solutions Excellent and demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills Ability to engage executive level stakeholders on complex matters in a substantive manner Attention to detail in all work activities and products, creative and critical thinker Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic and flexible, with excellent presentation skills, including oral and writing capabilities Results-driven and accountability-minded Ability to communicate risk and technical issues in business digestible term Business Continuity thought leadership and best practice awareness Ability to handle projects with multiple work streams, with proven leadership success over a wide variety of business problems Flexible and receptive to change Travel varies depending on base office location Dell is an equal opportunity employer.
