Job Description Summary: Business Analyst (BA) is the link between the business objectives and core technological capabilities the team is building. An agile team requires constant adaptation and innovation to turn customer needs into outputs. A Business Analyst’s goal is to drive organized and effective requirements to build the product. They are responsible for utilizing creative and practical thinking to translate requirement into direct improvements. The BA is then responsible for ensuring the team knows and understands what they are expected to build through a backlog and user stories and how it connects to overall objectives. Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborate with a Product Owner to shape the end-to-end product strategy and determine business value Elicit requirements to accomplish team goals Utilize market and industry knowledge to translate user needs into user stories and acceptance criteria for their team. Helping the Product Owner to maintain a backlog 3 to 4 sprints ahead of the team Serve as the day to day contact for the team on clarification of requirements and drive user stories Exercise strong decision making mandate across the team as a proxy to the product owner Stay in sync with the product owners on priorities and day to day decision making Support the product owners in collaborating with other teams and leadership to ensure team strategy aligns with overall product vision Define, implement and track performance metrics once solution enters production Prep and support the team on product demos Key Skills: Deep knowledge of digital domains/products/journeys Can quickly learn industry trends / domains and end user demands from pain points Stays up to date with current trends, best practices and new technologies Experience with B2B / B2C digital products Experience using techniques like cost-benefit analysis for feature prioritization Experienced in facilitating agile ceremonies, managing a backlog/release plan, tracking team level metrics, removing blockers (burndown chart, release burn up, etc.) Strong communication skills with ability to present complex messages and trade-offs and tell a compelling story Able to articulate business requirements and bridge the gap with development teams and stakeholders Strong problem solver with ability to lead the team to push the solution and progress Some experience leading / working with teams in an agile setting as an analyst Passion to challenge the status quo and find new solutions and drive out of the box ideas – loves and embraces change Believes in a non-hierarchical culture of collaboration, transparency, safety, and trust Not afraid to “roll up the sleeves” and seeks to go outside comfort zone to learn – pushes teams to do the same Empowers others to fail, learn, and grow Experimental mindset to drive innovation Education/Experience: Bachelors Degree, Masters preferred, or equivalent work experience 5 plus years of experience Why join us?
