The STAR Program Office is looking for a Business Analyst to join their team. Under the close, limited, and general supervision of the STAR (State Transforming Agency Resources) Program Office HCM Section Chief, the Business Analyst serves as a technical resource, resolving customer problems and is considered a functional system resource in HR, Time and Labor, Absence, Benefits, and Payroll. This position is responsible for assisting to ensure data integrity and protecting sensitive information through analysis/research and recommending solutions, policies, and procedures; evaluating system functionality; testing, and documentation of the State’s ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) System within the HCM Section.

Starting salary for the IS Enterprise Business Analyst – Professional (07-35) will be between $22.10-$34.83 an hour. Starting salary for the IS Enterprise Business Analyst - Senior (07-34) will be between $26.50-$41.13 an hour. Starting salary for the IS Enterprise Business Analyst - Specialist (07-33) will be between $30.94-$47.46 an hour. A twelve-month probationary period may be required. Current State employees will be compensated in accordance to the current State Compensation Plan. Job Details
Due to the nature of the position, DOA will conduct background checks on applicants prior to selection. DOA does not sponsor work visas. All persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States, and to complete the required employment eligibility form. This position has telecommuting potential in accordance with Region 1 policies that are subject to change. All state employees are required to report their COVID vaccination status, whether vaccinated or not, and must provide supporting documentation if vaccinated. Newly hired employees will be required to submit this information within their first two weeks of employment. At this time, those who are unvaccinated are subject to weekly COVID-19 testing protocols. Qualifications
Professional Minimally qualified applicants will have education, training, or experience with all the following:Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software such as Peoplesoft or similar.Excel, Google Sheets, or similar.
Senior In addition to the Professional qualifications, minimally qualified applicants will also have experience with the following:
Comparing large amounts of data using Excel, or similar. ANDPeopleSoft such as modifying existing Peoplesoft queries ORBusiness Analyst duties such as analyzing data to solve business problems.
Specialist: In addition to the Professional and Senior qualifications, minimally qualified applicants will also have experience with all the following:Completing advanced Peoplesoft duties such as creating queries in PeopleSoft.Business Analyst duties such as analyzing data to solve business problems, budgeting and forecasting, or similar.Writing test plans for new system functionality or system updates.
