Summary: As the FCC Systems Data Analyst, of the FCC Systems unit, the incumbent is responsible for analyzing the FCC systems data and data feeds, reviewing FCC systems performance through the development of standard and ad-hoc reports, identifying data quality issues and impacts, data trends, data sampling, data-driven models development, and support optimizations and model validations of the AML and Sanctions systems, within the FCC sub-unit team within Apple Bank for Savings (the “Bank”). The FCC Systems unit acts as a primary subject matter expert (“SME”) concerning all FCC dedicated systems used to support BSA/AML and OFAC/Sanctions compliance across the Bank.
Essential Duties: Acting as the data SME for all BSA/AML and OFAC/Sanctions systems data and data feeds. Supporting the calibration, tuning, optimization and performance evaluation of transaction monitoring systems. Assisting in the management of data processes to include the development of business requirement documentation, data mapping and validation exercises. Developing standard, as well as ad-hoc, reports based on FCC users and leadership needs. Documenting data feeds, end-to-end data flows and mapping from source to target. Identifying data issues and tracking to resolution. Designing custom structure query language (“SQL”) queries to ensure proper feed validation, including the identification of null validations, referential integrity of key attributes and other specific logical requirements. Assisting with risk assessments and model validations of the FCC’s AML and Sanctions systems from a data perspective. Assisting with the coordination of responses to internal auditors and external regulators as part of coordinated examinations. Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of remediation action plans for all FCC systems to continually track resolution status of open actions. Assisting in the oversight of FCC systems and other related functions to include system upgrades and patches, validation/testing of transaction data feeds into the appropriate FCC systems, and testing of systemic transaction monitoring rule parameters and risk models, at the direction of the VP, Head of FCC Systems. Participating in process standardization and improvement discussions with the BSA Officer and process partners.
Additional Duties: Displaying a high level of professional aptitude and standards. Data analysis and manipulation skills Participating in committee meetings as necessary. Ad-hoc and project support responsibilities, as required.
Skills and Qualifications: Minimum 1 year of experience in data analysis and reporting. Minimum 1 year of experience with leading database solutions such as Oracle or MS SQL Server. Minimum 1 year of experience in the use of SQL queries. Familiarity with financial data preferred. Familiarity with financial crimes area and specific AML and Sanctions is a plus. An undergraduate degree is required, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field with experience in systems administration, analysis, report building and management, databases or other directly related experience. CAMS certification is preferred, but can be obtained at a later date (within 6–9 months of hire). Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent researching and time management skills with strong focus on attention to detail. A team player able to work effectively in a team fostered, multi-tasking environment
