Job Summary:
Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of credit and risk management to the completion of difficult assignments. Gathers, analyzes, and interprets data and conducts research to provide management and System workgroups with information to aid in decision making. Prepares and presents accurate conclusions, recommendations, and related reports under minimum supervision. Assists with completing evaluations of acceptable collateral and gathers supervisory information to support condition monitoring. Responsible for assisting in daily operations and general ledger account settlement. Confers with business unit management on identified issues. May be assisted by less experienced analysts. Participates on related departmental projects or task forces. Assists in the planning, designing, and implementation of major new and expanded central systems to ensure they meet current and future needs.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Plans and conducts independent research and difficult assignments under minimum supervision to collect data concerning various inquiries, proposals, plans, and recommendations from management, Board of Governors (BOG), or the System or own initiative. Recommends appropriate actions.
Assists in the evaluation of collateral acceptability including administration of borrower-in-custody arrangements.
Gathers and interprets supervisory data to support condition monitoring and the assessment of risk associated with extensions of overnight and daylight Federal Reserve credit.
Assists in daily operations and ensures that contingency plans are current and effectively tested.
Assists with evaluating adequacy and effectiveness of monitoring systems and internal controls.
Participates in internal control programs and control training sessions.
Maintains current account systems and implements changes mandated by BOG and others.
Coordinates planning, design and implementation of central systems; monitors and corrects any problems; maintains databases. Analyzes software packages and automation alternatives.
Ensures compliance with the new Information Security Manual (nISM) and maintenance of strong control environment.
Interacts effectively with senior level management personnel at Bank to communicate and resolve problems.
Identifies trends and differences by performing analyses of various activities performed in this Bank and recommends appropriate action to resolve situation expeditiously.
Demonstrates effective Supervision, Regulation and Credit Core Competency skills for grade and position.
Fulfills job duties and responsibilities in conformance with sound safety practices.
Complies with all applicable information security policies, guidelines, and practices.
Actively involved in the accomplishment of departmental and Bank-wide quality initiatives.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, or finance or equivalent related work experience and education is required.
Minimum of three years' experience in bank supervision, banking, or finance-related field or advanced degree in accounting or finance strongly preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of accounting and risk management principles.
In depth PC skills, including proficiency in standard Bank word processing, spreadsheet applications and other software.
Strong analytical and research skills.
Ability to effectively give formal presentations to Bank and financial institution management.
Effective written and oral communications skills.
Other Requirements:
Valid driver's license required.
Ability to work in additional locations (i,e depository institutions and other Reserve Bank locations).
Up to 20 percent overnight travel.
