The Rise of Software-Defined Secure Networks

Juniper Networks' Mihir Maniar Describes the Latest Threat-Battling Strategies
The Rise of Software-Defined Secure Networks

Attackers continue to target enterprise assets both from outside and - too often - inside the corporate perimeter.

To help, more organizations are turning to software-defined secure networks, which are an "easy, automated way to go and stop threats in real time by correlating threats from multiple sources and then going and stopping those threats on the entire infrastructure that the customer has, in real time," says Mihir Maniar of Juniper Networks.

In an audio interview at RSA Conference 2017, Maniar discusses:

  • The rapidly changing face of today's security industry, driven by the threats now facing enterprises;
  • The need to correlate threat information coming from multiple sources;
  • The business case for using software-defined secure networks and how they will evolve.

Maniar is vice president of security products and strategy at Juniper. Before that, he served as the senior director of product management and marketing for the network software group at Cisco.
