Avinash Prasad, vice president and Head of Business - MSS, Tata Communications

"One can do operations well and have all sorts of service provider contracts. But the right information at the right time, in the right context around a threat can make a lot of difference," says Prasad, Tata's vice president and head of the managed security services business (see: Congress Set to Enact Cyberthreat Information-Sharing Law).

In this video interview conducted at Information Security Media Group's recent ISMG Fraud and Breach Prevention Summit in New Delhi, Prasad, who was a featured speaker at the event discusses:

  • Lessons from information sharing efforts around the world;
  • The vital importance of business context and domain-specific threat information;
  • The role all industry stakeholders - individual practitioners and enterprises - play in information sharing.

Prasad heads the business area of managed security services globally for Tata Communications. He has a multi-functional focus on customer management, practice and solution development, business development, innovation and partnership. He previously served in leadership roles at Wipro and Infosys.
