Rachael Stephens, program director at the National Governors Association, discusses a new report offering insights into ways that governors and state policymakers can nurture a resilient workforce amid technological disruption, exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Stephens advises CISOs to examine their talent search and retention strategies. “Are you really being honest about the skills and education background you need in your new hires or are you putting false barriers in place?” she asks.

In a video interview with Information Security Media Group, Stephens discusses:

Stephens serves as the director of the workforce development and economic policy program in the National Governors Association’s Center for Best Practices. She oversees workforce development and economic policy, research and technical assistance provision to governors and states.
