John Frushour is the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer for the New York-Presbyterian Hospital System where he manages all things InfoSec for the #4 Hospital in the Nation. John’s responsibilities include NYP’s Security Operations Center, Identity and Access Management Team, Vulnerability and Forensics Team, Security Engineering and Architecture Teams, Enterprise Messaging, Authentication Services and Putting Square Pegs in Square Holes. Previously, John was the Deputy CISO at Nuance Communications where he served in a similar capacity. Prior to this position, John was the Corporate Director for Enterprise Architecture at Motorola Solutions. At Motorola, John designed and deployed the network and infrastructure systems by which government/public safety organizations across the country use to communicate. John is a retired Marine Officer, combat Veteran, and "Mustang”. John earned his undergraduate degree in the field of Computer Science from the University of Kentucky. He also has a graduate degree in the field of Computer Science from the Naval Postgraduate School, is an active CISSP, and really, really loves the Chicago Cubs.
