Joanna Belbey is a recognized expert on compliance pertaining to social media and other electronic communications. As Compliance Subject Matter Expert for Proofpoint, Joanna helps regulated firms use new forms of communications effectively while complying with industry rules and regulations. Prior to working in the technology industry, she co-founded a start-up training firm for 2 years. Joanna developed her passion for compliance while at Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the regulator of the securities industry, where her team delivered as many as 350 compliance educational programs per year.
