The Chief Compliance & Audit Officer is responsible for overseeing the compliance program, privacy program, information security program and internal audit function across the entire Health System which includes South Shore Hospital, the South Shore Physician Ambulatory Enterprise and the Home Care and Hospice division. This role is responsible for overseeing development, implementation and adherence to policies, practices and standards to ensure the organization meets external legal and regulatory requirements in addition to internal standards. The Chief Compliance & Audit Officer oversees a division that is independent from management, reporting to the General Counsel , while maintaining a collaborative relationship with Shared Services and Operational Units within the Health System.
BA/BS Degree in a related field; Master's degree preferred. 12+ years experience preferred in health care compliance and/or audit field. Must have the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of stakeholders such as physicians, healthcare administration, and staff. Qualified candidate will possess strong communication skills, including listening and presenting, ability to build trust and confidence with utmost integrity, ability to lead change and achieve support for change; a leader that can build consensus, who has strong customer focus, strategic thinker, solid business acumen and business skills.
